River Marked by Patricia Briggs

326 pages

Sysnopsis:

Car mechanic Mercy Thompson has always known there was something different about her, and not just the way she can make a VW engine sit up and beg. Mercy is a shapeshifter, a talent she inherited from her long-gone father. She's never known any others of her kind. Until now.
An evil is stirring in the depths of the Columbia River-one that her father's people may know something about. And to have any hope of surviving, Mercy and her mate, the Alpha werewolf Adam, will need their help...

My Review:
This book is fast paced while it continues To hit your emotions. Even though it was a fast pace, it still seems a little slower then the last few books. With a storyline that is thrilling, suspenseful, frightening and disturbing in some spots. With the right mixing of fact with fiction to make this stunning story feel as if it was real. Ms. Briggs really did her homework on Indian beliefs and customs. I love how realistic the characters are in this series. For those who missed Stefan would be happy for his return. Too bad it was short. Sorry ladies. But I have a strong feeling he’ll be back in the next book. And in a big way. But Samuel is missing from the book.

Warning: References to rape is in this book.

Rating: 4 STARS!
