Bri Clark - Book Giveaway, Author Interview, Author Guest Post, Character Interview, Interaction, & Book Review

PhotobucketLucien Lemione the clan leader of the feared and revered Eternals is faced with the ultimate betrayal. His second in command for two centuries has not only created the most grievous of offenses but also commissioned the creation of liquid silver. When poisoned by this toxin, an immortal suffers a fate much worse than death, frozen in an internal prison. After being wounded when found spying, he hides deep within the eerie woods that encircle the Triad Mountains. Desperate and in pain, he prays to an offended mother goddess for help. Her answer: a woman, but not just any woman. A witch.

After losing her entire coven at the hands of the Eternals, Aisleen is the last of her kind. She retreats from the world to Trinity Forest where she is giving the opportunity of a lifetime, or perhaps a test of principles. It’s there she discovers the man she heals is the Eternal that wiped out her people. Although she is bound as a healer, she could be creative in her revenge. Aisleen knows who and what Lucien is…but does not speak of it. There can be no future with Lucien for she can only be with a mortal man. Even if she wanted to be with him, can she forgive the man that caused the genocide of her people?

Lucien must act quickly for the survival of his clan is at stake. However, Aisleen’s ethereal beauty and emerald eyes keep pushing those thoughts far from his mind. Determined to find out what secret she hides, he prolongs his time with her. When his people need him most what will he choose…duty, desire, or will he make his own fate?

You can choose love but you can’t choose destiny.

My Review:

The Familial Witch
by Bri Clark

How many times can a person say “Just one more page” to themselves? I found myself doing that thee whole book! (Thee) lol. I loved the way this whole book was set up, this author really found her talent. Beginning draws you in, plot/storyline and pace teams up on you, never letting you put it down! Ending will leave you wanting the whole series. This original story is definitely one I will recommend over and over. A Must buy!

My Rating 5 Stars!

PhotobucketCharacter Interview: Lucien Lemoine

Where do you live?

Everywhere, but right now I’m staying with Aisleen.

Where are you from?

Half smiles…well technically I am from the Dream Realm but I don’t like talking about it.

How old are you?

I don’t keep count…but if I had to guess almost 200

What are you called? Nick name?

Sir

How would you describe your looks??

I’d say I’m handsome…mortal women seem to think so. I’m not really sure I’m not in areas where there are a lot of reflective surfaces.

In Twitter Fashion use 140 characters or less, sum your personal ad for us. (If you were to have one)

What’s a Twitter?

What kind of childhood did you have?

I didn’t have one when I came from the Dream Realm I was what I am now.

What do you do for a living?

I am the leader of the Eternals.

How do you deal with conflict and change?

I don’t usually I’m in charge…but recently I’ve had to figure that out.

Who else is in your life?

Aisleen…right now it’s only her.

What are your goal or motivation?

I’d love to redeem myself to the Mother Goddess but also to Aisleen. However, my people need me. There is a traitor among us I am duty bound to deal with.

What motivates you?

My people…those I am bound to.

Of what are you proudest?

I can’t think of anything at the moment. There is just too much to be ashamed of.

How did you meet the person of your dreams?

I met Aisleen when she came to my aide after I was shot by a silver arrow…that and so much more I will always be in her debt.

Who are your best friends?

I don’t want to talk about that.

Describe your family.

I guess my family would have to my clan. They are mostly good people. They listen and are loyal. We try to live simple, peaceful lives…well most of us that is.

What is your biggest secret--the one thing you don't want ANYBODY to know?

That the Mother Goddess withdrew her presence from me.

What are you most afraid of?

Losing someone like I lost my daughter…she’s Eternal she is alive somewhere but I haven’t found her yet.

What do you want more than anything?

To find my daughter and redeem myself to Aisleen and the Mother Goddess.

Author Interview:

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I have an official author bio at the blog if anyone wants to see it. However, the updated version is I’m a author of paranormal romance, romanctic thrillers and romantic fantasy. I run two publishing houses blogs and social media marketing, Astraea Press and StoneHouse Ink. I also do blog evaluations and advise authors on platform building.

Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?

It all began with reading. I love to read therefore it evolved to writing.

What surprised you the most about the writing/publishing process?

That editors are there for a reason. You do not have to have perfect grammar, good grammar but not perfect.

How do you develop your plots and characters?

Do you use any set formula? I have character worksheets I use sometimes, I talk out my books to myself using a recorder and I also brainstorm with other colleagues or a critique group.

What, in your opinion, are the most important elements of good writing?

Characters and any book no matter the genre had to have GMC: Goals, motivation, conflict

Can you share a little of your current work with us?

Yes I’ve written Familial Witch, Caffe’s Sedzione and coming out this month is Glazier and this fall Mafia Seduzione. Familial Witch should have a sequel by winter of this year.

In Twitter Fashion use 140 characters or less, sum Familial Witch for us.

Paranormal sweet where two characters are destined to hurt, love and conquer.

How did you come up with a story that was such a whirl wind of events?

If I knew how I did that I’d bottle it and sale it.

How long did it take you to write it, and did you have any writer’s block along the way?

No block and it took about 4 weeks to get the draft out.

Will we be seeing a following book to this stories?

Yes. The sequel will be a full novel shooting for release in winter of 2011

How did you come up with the character Aisleen?

I looked at myself and wrote the complete opposite.

I always must ask, If you could pick one actor to portray Lucien Lemione on the big screen who would it be and why?

Goran Višnjić, he plays the bad guy in Practical Magic. He is just so dark and brooding and has a great accent he’d be perfect.

Was there anything you find particularly challenging when writing this book?

No

What were your feelings when you first saw the cover of your finished book?

It was perfect. Elaina Lee nailed it without the least bit of tweeking.

Usually when the author gets the "Did you have any trouble writing this book" kind of question they come up with something. Thanks for your blunt no. I figure, some books just have to flow out. Thanks for the giveaway.

Idk what happened to the chat room. I was there but maybe we all got the times mixed up.

I'm very glad to have a giveaway and even more grateful to have it hosted here.

Elaina Lee did my cover and she is truly a gem.

This story basically told itself. It was by far the easiest I have ever written. Now the sequel is a different story.
