Giveaway & Guest post with Cynthia Eden!!!

Photobucket
Thanks so much to Melissa for inviting me over today! It’s great to be here!
I’ve always been a fan of the Little Red Riding Hood story.  Woods are scary, and wolves—oh, yes, when they start to howl and close in, you know deadly trouble is on its way.  But…I always thought the Red Riding Hood story could use a bit of a twist. What if Red wasn’t just stalked by an ordinary wolf? What if a werewolf followed her through the woods?  What would happen then?
In July, I’ll release my next paranormal romance book from Kensington Brava. This book, NEVER CRY WOLF, was inspired by my Red Riding Hood obsession.  Lucas Simone, the hero of the book, is a tough, alpha wolf shifter.  But…he has one vulnerability. The guy has a real soft speak for those who are weak.  So when my heroine comes stumbling into his path, this wolf doesn’t plan to attack her; instead, she stirs his protective instincts.

Hmm…maybe the old stories had the Riding Hood tale all wrong. Maybe that wolf wasn’t out to hurt Red. Maybe he was just keeping a watchful eye on her.  Okay, that’s what he does in my version of the story, anyway!
Do you have a favorite fairy tale that you would like to see twisted a bit?  Share with me! One commenter will win any Cynthia Eden book of her/his choice.
Happy reading!

"What if a werewolf followed her through the woods? What would happen then?" What, indeed? I'd like to picture that wolf as a were, and a very hot one, for that matter. Red Riding wouldn't stand a chance! LOL
There's something very sexy about werewolves and other paranormal creatures... must be that forbidden thing.
I really would like to read your version of the tale. ;)

thanks for the giveaway!

I like Snow White, but I think the tale sounds a little bit twisted all on its on, I mean, with a grown woman in the middle of 7 dwarves? Suspicious, right? Buuuut.... LOL.

Your version of Little Red sounds great!

Hi Cynthia!

I'm intrigue enough to read "Never Cry Werewolf", because you said , it's a twisted version from "Red Riding Hood" :), looking forward to read it ^_^
For twisted fairy tale, hmm, maybe it's sound like humorous story, but I always joked with my friend, how if Cinderella and the Prince switch their role?
So Cinderella is a Man, and he wait Princess Charming to help him, but it seems that Cinderella Man rescue the Princess!
I think, it will be awesome, hehe ^_^

Thanks for the giveaway :D

My favorite fairytale is Beauty and the Beast, but I don't know how you could twist it. Maybe make the heroine the beast.

I don't have a favorite, I like so many. But I think I'd stick with Little Red Riding Hood because even as a kid I felt the wolf got a bad wrap. I am so looking forward to this book!

I love twists on old fairy tales and have read some great ones on the Beauty and The Beast theme as well as one or two Red Riding hood ones.

Haven't read many that use the older stories like The Wild Swans or the Twelve Dancing Princesses though, they were both favourites as a child :D

Have you ever heard of the children's book The Stinky Cheese Man? It's a warped take on kids classics. It's one of my favorites. I love the idea of twisting the fairy tales. How about Humpty Dumpty. Or The Muffin Man? They don't have the classic damsel in distress but I see real possibility. Thanks for the contest. I am a GFC follower.

Oh man Cynthia! I remember that movie! Didn't it have Signurny Weaver as the evil queen! I loved that movie!

Man, twist on a fairy tale? Okay why the heck did I get the Golidlocks and the three bears in my head! LOL... Sounds like a menage if you let the three bears be brothers.

I think I am the orginal Little Red Riding Hood..I am now 64 years old and when I was a little girl I had to wear a Little Red Riding Hood outfit every Halloween. My mom made the outfit and she added to it as I grew out of it. I was so sick of the outfit as everyone knew it was me. Sad..but now that I am older I see I should had been lucky to be able to own an outfit as many little children back then didn't have money to buy one or a mother to make one. In answer to the next question...Yes I did find my BIG BAD WOLF and he will soon be with me 50 years. susan Leech garysue@dejazzd.com
