In the Air Tonight (Sisters of the Craft #1)
by Lori Handeland
Four centuries ago, in a small Scottish village, three baby girls escaped the wrath of a witch hunter. Today, one young woman will learn about her secret history, her heart's destiny, and the sisters she never knew she had...
With her blue-black hair and dark eyes, Raye Larsen has never fit in with the Scandinavian community of New Bergin, Wisconsin. Being adopted is part of the reason she feels like an outsider, but what really sets Raye apart is her ability to see dead people. Everywhere.
She’s learned to keep her visions to herself . . . until she stumbles onto the ghost of a murder victim who needs Raye’s help. Enter Bobby Doucet, a distractingly handsome homicide detective who has been tracking a killer all the way from New Orleans. Could this be the break in his case he’s been looking for all along?
Meanwhile, the deeper Raye gets involved with the case—and with Bobby—the closer she comes to unlocking the mystery of her own origins. What she discovers about herself could destroy everything she knows . . . and everyone she loves. Is finding the truth worth the risk?

Marsha A. Moore - Witch's Moonstone Locket: A Coon Hollow Coven Tale - Book Review, Author Guest Post, Book Giveaway
Twenty-three-year-old Jancie Sadler was out of the room when her mother died, and her heart still longs for their lost goodbye. Aching to ease her sorrow, Aunt Starla gives Jancie a diary that changes her entire life. In entries from the 1930s, her great grandmother revealed how she coped with her own painful loss by seeking out a witch from nearby Coon Hollow Coven. The witch wore the griever’s moonstone locket, which allowed whoever could unlock its enchantment to talk with the dead.
Determined to find that locket, Jancie goes to the coven’s annual carnival held in her small southern Indiana town of Bentbone. This opposes her father’s strict rule: stay away from witches. But she’s an adult now and can make her own decisions. She meets Rowe McCoy, the kind and handsome witch who wears the moonstone. He agrees to let her try to open the locket, but they’re opposed by High Priestess Adara and her jealous desire to possess him. Desperate for closure with her mother, Jancie persists and cannot turn away from a perilous path filled with magic, romance, and danger.

Kiss at Your Own Risk (Soulfire #1) by Stephanie Rowe
Kiss at Your Own Risk (Soulfire #1)
by Stephanie Rowe
389 pages
I found this book was a little hard to get into at 1st, but it was worth it to keep reading. The book itself was funny, well-paced, and awesome. It brought out a lot of emotions. Some were a strong urge to talk to the characters. I did how ever found the warriors a little too… frilly. They derived comfort from thing I perceived to be feminine. Even though the Evil witch may have her heart felt reason for placing a certain curse, You can’t help but feel complete sympathy for Trinity. And yet to think of how she kept the men as sex slaves, tortured and made every male worthy of a woman. I found the plot to be very intertwined when it came to the problems, which in my mind mad it very interesting.
Over all I am a little 50/50 on the whole is it a great read or is it not? It was a teetering balance. On one hand, anyone who reads this book will find that they are in for a wild ride. You will defiantly find this funny, cleverly plotted, fast paced, and lets not forget the steamy guys. Now on the not so great side, it felt like the author tried a little too hard and a little too over the top in other areas. It can leave you with un answered questions. Mainly the how’s. Of course this could all be cleared up in the nest book, but who wants to wait?
My Rating: 3 Stars!
