Excerpt:

They are here. They ride. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

His name is Ares, and the fate of mankind rests on his powerful shoulders. If he falls to the forces of evil, the world falls too. As one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, he is far stronger than any mortal, but even he cannot fight his destiny forever. Not when his own brother plots against him.

Yet there is one last hope. Gifted in a way other humans can't-or won't-understand, Cara
Thornhart is the key to both this Horseman's safety and his doom. But involving Cara will prove treacherous, even beyond the maddening, dangerous desire that seizes them the moment they meet. For staving off eternal darkness could have a staggering cost: Cara's life.

My Review:

From page one you are completely engulf in the story. Ms. Ione creates a world in which you never want to return from. The characters she delivered to the story is so complex, flawed, and the tortured souls we love to read. Their personalities are complete relatable and they feel so realistic. Also what better then visits from her Demonica series. Yes this is a first book in a new series, so it came as a pleasant surprise. The pace is fast. The twist and turns in the storyline were 90 degrees. Did not see it coming. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. The ending will only disappoint you when you realize you must wait for the next book. So the question is… Did I think I would recommend it? YES!

My Rating: 5 Stars!
